The contact owned a 2001 Ford Explorer. While driving 55 mph, the contact steered to the right and the vehicle skidded and crashed into a guardrail. The air bags deployed. The contact sustained four broken ribs and back injuries that required medical attention. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed and destroyed. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 115,000. Updated 10/19/16
