A/c compressor fails 2015 in less than two years from new purchase. Then failed agin in 2016, not covered by warranty. $1200, rear a/c lines needed repair in 2018…again in May 2021...then again in August 2021.

Terrible design, steel bolts into aluminum, no corrosion protection, hanger brackets corroded. Just awful. Have had a Ford since 1975.

The dealer just put refrigerant in the car and didn't look for or fix the leak. It all escaped and then they found the leak when I brought it back. I refused to pay for the refrigerant they added without diagnosing the problem.

THIS IS A BIG PROBLEM JUST BOUGHT THIS VEHICLE USED IN MAY AND THE COMPRESSOR FOR THE AIR CONDITIONER IS GONE ON IT DURING THE WORST TIME WHEN THE WEATHER IS EXTREMELY HOT. I SEE THERE ARE OTHER CUSTOMERS WHO ARE HAVING ISSUES WITH THEIR AIR CONDITIONER TO WITH THEIR FORD VEHICLES. THERE NEEDS TO BE A RECALL ON THE AIR CONDITIONING UNIT SO THAT WE DON'T HAVE THIS PROBLEM THIS IS UNFAIR TO US AND WE DON'T HAVE THE MONEY TO REPLACE THE PART. PLEASE ASSIST US WITH THIS MATTER.

I bought the car and a week later the A/C went out, luckily the dealer offered to pay for half the cost of replacing the compressor so I got off with only paying $315. Other wise I can honestly say I love my Ford Explorer and am excited to get my next one. Definitely the best car I've ever owned.

2013 Ford Explorer limited with eco boost engine. AC stopped blowing cold. Took to dealership and they said the compressor melted. $2K later new compressor, new expansion valve, new drier the problem is fixed. They just don’t make them like they used to

Air compressor for the AC failed and needed to be replaced.... vehicle only 4 years old. 60 bucks for a diagnosis at one shop, and 750 to fix it at another.

I've had my Explorer 4 years and have never had a problem until now. Unless it is really hot, I rarely use the A/C. All of a sudden, it goes out. I'm disabled and extreme heat causes me to have flair ups with my condition. I also have my 3 year old granddaughter a couple days a week. We cannot go anywhere because there is no A/C.
