The front passenger side airbag malfunctioned in that it deployed without reason. I was driving (in motion) straight down a city road. It made an extremely loud noise that affected my hearing, expelled a lot of white powder that smelled bad, and tore up the side of the passenger seat. The airbag warning light went on.

The driver seat would not move back and forth because the seat handle was stripped. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was 180,000.

The front driver's side seat belt alarm would ring although the seat belt was engaged and the latch would also pop open suddenly at times.
