Can't unlock or lock the doors with the remote. It's not the battery for the remote causing the problem.

The doors are not answering to the remote's commands. I can open only the driver's door with the key, and thenm the rest of the doors from inside. Same when I have to lock the car. The trunk door is popping open all the time - we had to remove the electrical to have it locked by key.

We paid $180 for a diagnostic - the technician said that we have to change the front doors latches... I have some technical knowledge, and a mechanical problem was the least expected.

OK i own a focus se, its not too bad of a car, but as of lately my remote stopped working, and I changed the battery and still nothing, the doors will unlock with the key, and from the inside with the panel controls. I checked fuse #63 that was fine. If anyone knows the name of the part i may need please tell me I hate taking it in to the shop....

True to its name, FORD (F)ix (O)r (R)epair (D)aily; My 2002 Focus Wagon's door locks and Back Door will not open with the keyless remote. The problem started when activating my rear wiper, the stupid back door would open. The next day none of the lock mechanisms worked inside the car, or the keyless entry. I thought it might be a fuse but could not locate Fuse #63. This fuse is supposed to be on the back of the fuse panel. Is this not a safety issue when the back of your car opens up when you activate the rear wiper??????
