CarComplaints.com Notes: Even though the first model year of a major redesign should typically be avoided, Ford did a good job & the 2008 Ford Focus doesn't appear to have any major defects.

That said, the following model years of this 2nd generation Focus (2009-2011) do appear to be slightly better.

Passenger Side, Rear Tail Light Lens

Outer corners have moisture/ pine tree needles or leaf stuck in them.

You can see the needles mixed in with the moisture.

It hasn't seem to have it anywhere but the outside edges.

Update from Oct 31, 2014: car presently has 47,000 km on it.

Problem started at around 32,000km about 2011 but was out of warranty.
