CarComplaints.com Notes: Even though the first model year of a major redesign should typically be avoided, Ford did a good job & the 2008 Ford Focus doesn't appear to have any major defects.

That said, the following model years of this 2nd generation Focus (2009-2011) do appear to be slightly better.

Counting this set of tires this is third set, original, set bought from dealership were I purchased car and then Goodyear tires. Each set lasted around 20,000 miles. Always back passenger side wears completely slick. They had to replace front tie rod on one side at around 50,000 using my extended warranty because they wouln't listen to me. They also told me there were no recalls. I had mine rotated and balanced also when I was suppose to. I now have 77,000 original miles on my vehicle and warranty will soon be out. Bought my car new in 2008.
