CarComplaints.com Notes: Even though the first model year of a major redesign should typically be avoided, Ford did a good job & the 2008 Ford Focus doesn't appear to have any major defects.

That said, the following model years of this 2nd generation Focus (2009-2011) do appear to be slightly better.

A D V E R T I S E M E N T S

I'm waiting to get my messages out there and it is taking too long because a lot of these complaints are from a couple a years ago but they are a lot of the same! I have gone to several places to report this piece Of Sh-T, I have just replaced the Rack and Tie Rods and struts and recent well alignment, tires rotated, good tires that are cupped so bad that I turned the frigin things inside out and then they are losing air, leaking as they heat, & NOW I need new ones again this will make Six Times. I cannot stress enough that I can't put another frigin dime into this nightmare of a car that I have no warranty anymore and all this money I have dumped into it.

The R-F-PASS side has been messed up from this new rack and it pulls bad to the right and sounds like the cv joint is broke or the tie rod or the bushings or god knows. I e-mailed Ford and filed a former complaint, the CSR, after I had specified what car it was, she replied about a Ford Escape & states it has no recalls upon her research? I wrote her back stating it is not the Escape and if you would of looked at my e-mail you would of seen that it was a Focus so what research that you did was improper and that I don't understand how Ford can go by with no recognition? I also was informed to keep all my receipts? Really what the heck does that have to do with it ? Of course I did, what is it going to take to get them to realize this is not a game when some college kid takes a highway trip that ends up in a fatality? Why is this country selling this car today knowing this is a manufacturer defect ???????

THE CAL lawsuit was dropped and it needs to be picked up again somewhere else ? Of course I never heard back after that reply, why would I. I cannot even take this car on a trip to my family for thanksgiving. I'm not working & I'm very sick and this is making me sicker. I WANT THEM TO REPO IT! I owe a lot more than I want to pay for just to have a car that is not consumer friendly, I'm going to file a small claims myself on this and write to Ford that I will not tolerate this anymore and wait to see if I have a deadly accident because of the tires. And the car drives like crap and is a money well, a safety hazard, an inconvenience, an emotional roller coaster, a destroyer of funds, unreliable, highly affordable for all Found On The Road Dead as it has been on several occasions!!!

Update from Dec 27, 2015: OK,I give I cannot take it anymore I'm going to try to attempt to fix this fucus & take to sears because I can only afford a defered payments and this is goung to be on the broken front end I'm sure its the CV boot, joint & upper motor mounts again it just eats up tires two new ones in the rear Tie rods again, rear suspension needs a alignment for saggy struts and,the list goes on rotors are a maintence, brakes that is a constant cuz of the suspension!!!

Update from Jan 24, 2016: Well I did what I said I was not going to do and fixed this frigin car again this time another set of 4 tires Tiger Paw I needed new wheel cylindersin the rear that were leaking, new brake pads front & rear, another set of shocks in the rear.Another wheel alingment both in front & back, tow out done & rotors smoothed out oil change 45 dollars & $1,200 total not including the oil change, the biggest reason I brought it in was for that horrible noise that they absolutley said that they could not find but heard it and it sounds ratchet when I turn slo and it still bounces at low speed and @ 75MPH on the highway !! I asked them to check the Rack I had put In & upper strut mounts I replaced, the tie rods, bushings sway bar link the control arms the power steering the steering colunm,Cv Boot Cv Joint fly wheel omg what else could it be? When it is heated up and or its hot out its very poppy, not a smooth turn its been cold and not as noticable bit I'm taking it back in they need to find this what it is I feel its the sway bar links hitting but we will see this is a temporary fix i feel the tires will get the mileage under what they are noted for 103.000 miles and I swear this is it or I'm driving it thru a Ford Showroom Window !!!!!

I need help! I had my tires rotated, 4 days later while driving my car it started to shake really bad. Then a Tire Pressure Sensor Fault would come on. It isn't continuous, I can drive at 65 miles and its smooth then all of a sudden it starts to shake for about half mile then it smooths out... It happens off and on.. I have taken it back to get them to fix it, they rebalanced it and said it was fixed, but it is still shaking....HOW DO I FIX THIS?
