This is the third time while going apprx. 60 MPH that suddenly without warning I have no gas to the throttle. Had to pull over in the emergency lane. After turning the engine off for several minutes it started right up and everything back to normal. The next time this happens I could get rear ended or T boned! This vehicle is not safe!! Should have bought a Honda or Toyota like I was going to! FORD = FIX or REPAIR DAILY!!!!!!!! I

It happened again! Going about 60 MPH without warning there was no gas getting to the throttle...had to pull over into the emergency lane. Turned the engine off, waited a few minutes and restarted the engine then everything was back to normal! Took it back to the shop for a second time. They test drove it for a week but it did not 'act up' while they had it and nothing showed up on the codes again, therefore they would not fix the problem under warranty. Something is very wrong with this car and it could put me in a life threatening situation and I think Ford should take car of it!

I bought a 2010 Focus with 31,000 miles in Oct 2012. Several months later, going about 60MPH on the freeway, with no warning at all, I had no acceleration, as if the gas line had been cut and gas was not getting to the engine. Had to manouver through traffic and into the emergency lane with no gas. The engine was running real rough and the engine light was on. As I waited for the toe truck I turned the engine off, waited a few seconds then turned it on again and it started right up, the engine light was off and I had acceleration. Ford could not find the problem, it did not show up on the computer code or 'act up' while it was in the shop. But obviously there is something very wrong with this car and could potentially put me in a very dangerous situation! Unless it comes up as a code or 'acts up' while they have it they won't fix it under warranty.
