3rd time that my transmission broke down. Had it fixed two times. Paid $500 to fix it the first time. And second time paid $1,000. So that’s already a lot of money I have had to get it fixed and I don’t want to have to pay another $1,000 or $500 to fix it again.

Focus S 2.0L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 56,545 miles

Going to get gas and tried to reverse and the car would not go in reverse! It would not move in rev. Drove it to get home, had to make one stop and it would not start up again. I had to get it towed to the dealer. This was service visit #5 in 4.5 months.

Car was in service for 3 weeks while they went over every connecter, snap ring etc to find the issue. (The clutch, actuator, TCM had already all been replaced).

They changed a few snap rings, rotated shift drum gears, removed and re-installed the transmission assembly. But the issue happened again within 2 weeks.
