CarComplaints.com Notes: Power steering problems started rearing their ugly head in the 2010 Fusion, so you'd think Ford had plenty of time to make sure those problems didn't creep into the 2012. But here we are.

The Electronic Power Assist Steering (EPAS) is a mess. It fails at an alarming rate. Don’t believe us? Take a look at NHTSA’s data on the subject.

And much like the power steering, we’re still seeing the same throttle body failures that started in 2010 continue in 2012.

I brought a brand new Fusion and have had problems with the stereo since day 1. The stereo sounds muffled every so often. It is worse on some channels than others. I brought it to the dealer twice to be fixed. They told me that they have heard this problem before but there is nothing they can do about it. I contacted Corporate Ford, and they too are telling me that they have heard this problem but there is nothing that can be done about it. I was told it's because I live in the Chicagoland area. It is completely annoying, and I don't feel that I should have to deal with any issue in a BRAND NEW CAR!! My question is this: If both the dealer and Corporate Ford have heard this complaint, why aren't they trying to find a solution and why was I sold the car without being told about the stereo issues? I have contacted a lawyer but realize I am contending with a huge corporation and will not get anywhere.
