Transmission stutters when shifting. Something is wrong, I'm just not sure what the problem is.

I have an awesome 2007 Honda Accord Lx. Currently 144k Miles. Started having a shutter problem in transmission between 2nd & 3rd gears about Nov 2013 at about or near 98k miles. I was told to try Dr. Tranny ShutterFix. It worked instantly & lasted about 1 year. Then the shutter came back.

I took to my local Honda Dealer. Tech guy drove it with me. Said I need a new transmission for $8k. That's bull & I left upset, because I've read online that MANY Hondas have similar issues (some in different gears) & that their haven't been enough complaints to warrant a big recall for Honda to fix them. It could be something as simple as the transmission module.

Don't know, but it shouldn't be on the consumer to foot the bill for something that should work for years. Other than this problem (which is pretty big), I LOVE my Honda! Come on Honda, get busy taking responsibility & send out a recall for all cars with this problem.

This problem is most noticeable when cold. The shutter occurs when shifts from 1st to 2nd at about 20 - 25 mph. It stops doing it after about 5 - 10 miles of driving. I do not have this problem at all if the car is driven in D3, even when cold. I suspect it to be a torque convertor problem, but have not had it looked at. I have changed the fluid twice using Honda fluid. It was pretty black. Although it seemed to help right after the fluid change, it came back.

Update from Aug 28, 2013: I changed trans fluid again using Honda fluid and added a tube of shutter fix. I normally don't believe a fix comes in a bottle, but this has worked!
