CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2010 Honda Accord some several significant flaws: excessive oil consumption, premature brake wear, & uncomfortable seats.

In October 2013, Honda settled a class action for excessive oil consumption which extends their V6 powertrain warranty out to 8 years & no mileage limit. However, is the inconvenience & risk of dealing with Honda on this problem worth it? We don't think so.

Premature brake wear has been a consistent problem for this Accord generation. Once again Honda settled a class action lawsuit over brake wear, but most 2010 Accords are NOT covered.

Owners have consistently reported uncomfortable seats with the entire 8th generation (2008-2012) of Honda Accords. Complaints range from back pain to leg circulation problems due to bad lumbar support, cushioning, & seat angle. Unwary buyers report the seat pain is mainly only noticeable after 15-20 minutes. The common theme we hear is "never noticed this during the test drive."

The paint on my vehicle is rusting, fading and coming off. There was a paint warranty extension for Civics, CR-Vs, Pilots and Odysseys with the same model year, but not this car. They were no help on the phone and refused to do anything about the paint, after admitting that it was the same paint involved in the warranty extension.

I own 2010 Honda Accord. Around spring of 2015, I noted problems with paint at my car's roof. The problem quickly amplified to the point that I am not comfortable to even take my car to a car wash. The local dealership despite working on other unrelated issues on my car a few months ago (and confirming the non-existence of any prior painting issues on car’s rood) refused to address it. I was looking for a supplement new car (as my car is almost paid in full) and Acura RDX was my primary choice. After being ignored by Honda, Acura is no longer in my sight. I will gladly defect to another truly quality car brand.

I don't understand how Honda can continue to use such sh*tty paint. I've owed two Honda Accord Coupes, white. Both of them oxidized horribly. The only thing that will fix the issue is to paint the car! It's only 3.5 years old. How is that possible?
