CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2012 Honda Accord has a solid reputation (so far), with one very significant flaw: uncomfortable seats.

Owners have consistently reported uncomfortable seats with the entire 8th generation (2008-2012) of Honda Accords. Complaints range from back pain to leg circulation problems due to bad lumbar support, cushioning, & seat angle. Complaints aren't limited to only a certain body type -- the seat comfort problems are from a wide spectrum of owner height & weight.

The common theme we hear is "we never noticed this during the test drive." Unfortunately for unwary buyers, the seat pain is noticeable after 15-20 minutes.

I was driving my car and then suddenly I feel like the car stop by itself without push the brakes. Then I push the accelerator and the car continue driving normally. If some there is some one with the same problem I would like to know what happened?

This is the second time in a week my brakes failed and I could not stop. The first time was on wet, snow covered roads and I could not stop for a stop sign. I was going 25mph, put on the brakes like normal and they did not work at all, my car did not even slow down and I went through the stop sign. The second time the roads were lightly snow covered, I was going 30mph and began to brake like normal giving myself enough time. I put my foot on the brake and my car did not stop at all so I pressed harder and it still did not stop. At that moment I knew I was not going to be able to stop for the red light so decided to turn right and thankfully there were no cars in that lane.

I have only had this car for two months and do not feel safe driving this car at all. I have never had brakes fail like this on any other car I have owned. I consider this a very serious problem. I have an appointment with the Honda dealer next week and hopefully they can fix the problem.

I purchased my car from Criswell Honda, Germantown, Maryland on January 28, 2012. Approximately 22 months after purchase, I began having problems with the brakes. First time, I was exiting from Exit 4B on Maryland I-270. The road was slightly slippery. Since a policeman and another car were stopped on the left side of the curve, I was going below the recommended speed. The brake worked fine initially but stopped working (i.e., will not slow down) in the middle of the curve. The car zigzagged for three times before reaching the straight road.

The problem occurred again at about 10 AM on Saturday, December 14, 2012 after snowing for about 20 minutes. I was driving with my husband on Route 28 West on the bridge above I-270. As I was switching to the left turn lane, the traffic light turned yellow, I pressed on the brake pedal and the brake worked initially so I was able to slow down. However, as I was approaching the car in front of me, the brake failed again and the car continue to cruise forward even though I was applying the brakes firmly. At the end, I had to turn the car towards curb on my left side and the impact of hitting the curb finally stopped the car.

I took my car back to the dealer for repairs right away. The dealer told me the brake is fine and I just need to drive slowly.
