CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2012 Honda Accord has a solid reputation (so far), with one very significant flaw: uncomfortable seats.

Owners have consistently reported uncomfortable seats with the entire 8th generation (2008-2012) of Honda Accords. Complaints range from back pain to leg circulation problems due to bad lumbar support, cushioning, & seat angle. Complaints aren't limited to only a certain body type -- the seat comfort problems are from a wide spectrum of owner height & weight.

The common theme we hear is "we never noticed this during the test drive." Unfortunately for unwary buyers, the seat pain is noticeable after 15-20 minutes.

Accord EX-L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 24,000 miles

Brake rotor failure at 24000 miles is unacceptable. Brake pads and tires still show plenty of life left so that should rule out hard driving -- plus being 71 should exclude weekly trips to a dragstrip.

Use to work for Honda so I'm aware of their propensity to hide quality problems from customers unless they raise a stink.

Would think after the airbag stink car manufacturers would be more open about wanting to fix quality problems in particular those related to safety = brakes.

Additionally my rear wheel bearing had to be replaced -- under drive train warranty. Put together it seems I got a Friday car -- or is it a Monday car after a rough weekend. Regardless not happy with Honda.

Accord SE 3.2L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 16,000 miles

Car has only 16,991 miles and its a 2012 Accord SE. The steering wheel vibrates upon braking. Replaced front brake pads. no relief. Had a 2009 Accord that had defective front brakes that Honda had to pay for. Now this ! Dealer says rotors are warped and the brake pads we put on are crap ( no they are not ) wants to shave rotors and do new pads for $300.00. The brakes were bad BEFORE we put on the new pads !! They also say it's out of alignment. This is a leased vehicle, less than a year left on lease. No more Honda's for me, we have had 8 and I'm just done with this CRV. I had developed huge engine problem ...are there ANY reliable cars out there ??
