I read all the recalls about this and settlements but I call Honda and they state it’s not the year of my car.

I just purchased my Honda CR-V from a used car dealer in Sept. 2017 and now found out about the door lock actuators not working;. Although it states in a lawsuit about Honda's from 2007-2011 having this problem, they only indicate in the lawsuit 2009. So my VIN number isn't included in that lawsuit. Now if I want them repaired it'll be money out of my pocket. I feel that whenever there are issues with a vehicle that involve safety, it should be taken care of by the proper dealer. If anyone has any thoughts are solutions please feel free to make suggestions. Thank You.

David A. Wood states that Honda CR-V door lock actuator complaints settled by Honda includes 2011 CR-V in a class action suit.. (see HONDA AGREES TO SETTLE CR-V DOOR LOCK COMPAINTS AFTER YEARS OF COMPLAINTS.) I had the actuator replaced on 3-24-17. I have a 2011 CR-v which, if the article is correct, the dealer should replace at no charge to the owner. The dealer showed me a list of warranty extension items and it does not include the 2011 CR-V door lock Actuator. So either Honda does or does not cover this actuator cost in their class action suit. The total cost which i paid was $285.00 thanks in advance sheldon lawrence shelxlaw@astound.net

The power locks will automatically lock and unlock while the vehicle is being driven. This is a definite personal safety issue and you think the doors are locked and the passenger side isn't. In addition to this, the doors will not unlock or lock using the driver side controls or the key fob. Again this is not a mechanical safety issue but a personal safety issue. If you can't get out of the vehicle or prevent an unwanted person from entering the car, there are certainly concerns.

Had problem evaluated at Honda dealership today. They removed and tested the door lock actuator on the drivers door--it failed. They replaced it and found the door lock problem persisted. They looked further and found a problem with the MICU (Multiplex Control Unit), which involves the fusebox under the driver dashboard. They had to order out that part ($600+ repair job). The MICU failure is suspected of being related to the door lock actuator failure. TOTAL COST > $800

Driver side door will not close completely/tightly and door will not lock. Door indicator on dash shows that the door is open. If I pull the door tight, indicator shows the door is closed...I can lock the door. Door will return to its unlocked position and any movement of the door will cause the door to automatically unlock. This happens while driving- the door will unlock itself. Able to replicate this behavior by pulling inward on the door handle.
