CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2014 Honda CR-V has a trend of engine hesitation when accelerating.

Honda has tried to fix this delayed acceleration with a software update, but many owners report it didn't fix the problem.

This defect trend is not quite bad enough yet for us to slap on the "Beware of the Clunker" seal. But it's a concern & definitely something to keep in mind for a test drive.

Our 2014 CR-V does the same thing at a cooler weather start up as many others in different years. A heart stopping grinding. The fact that Honda will not fix this is unacceptable. This is caused by the Variable Valve Timing Actuator, which could potentially destroy the engine. I am looking for the Law firm that already sued Honda over this. Tired of fraudulent behavior by so called trusted manufacturers. I am going to make them hurt this time.
