Live in the north. 5 months of snow and ice. The engine does not heat up enough to defrost the windows ... How is this safe? Honda will have injuries or deaths on their hands... Will not come up to temp until driving. How to you drive a car with frosted windows safely???

I took it to dealer and was told there is no fix. Honda engineers could program the motor to idle faster to produce heat at certain outside air temps... Do they care about their customers???????

How can a car manufacturer sell a car in a cold climate that doesn't produce interior heat? I'll always regret not doing more research before purchasing this vehicle. It was in great shape and everyone said you can't go wrong with a Honda CRV. They were WRONG.

Nothing like freezing in your expensive 'new' ride during the long winter months. Dealership asked if I had the heat turned up all the way - almost jumped over the counter. At least with all the recent reports they can't tell me that it is normal.

For the past few days in Chicago, IL the weather had been very cold and the car heater constantly stops. So today 29 January 2019 I took the car to the Honda dealer and because the heater was working, the Dealer representative did not want to admit the car in. He told me to bring it when it not working. Finally, after a back and forth trying to make sense of the situation he told if I could leave the car overnight and told that I have to pay $150.00 dollars for the diagnostic. It's hard to believe that a 2016 vehicle with 28,800 miles already have this issues and they started a few months after the vehicle warranty.

No heat in cab when outside temperature is -10° C or colder. At -15° C, engine take 27 minutes to get warm while driving in the city. Even the windshield will freeze if it is snowing, so I have to stop, get outside and scrape it to be able to see in front. The dealer has no solution and Honda Canada told me not to call them anymore. They say go see your dealer.
