CarComplaints.com Notes: Yes, the Honda Civic receives a lot of complaints because so many were sold. And sure, car parts only last so long and things eventually break. But it's never good to see this many transmission complaints, especially when the average mileage at failure is just north of 100,000 miles.
Especially when you consider that it's predecessor also has a nasty history with transmission complaints.

This is certainly not a problem that I expected, but unfortunately I discovered it when I reached for the door handle to get out of the car and it sliced my skin open. The only possible fix I can think of is duct tape, but I can't bring myself to make it look that ugly. I've scraped off some of the sharper edges so I don't cut myself. And I am in the habit now of being careful. Not bothering to bring up to Honda since they don't stand behind this car.
