CarComplaints.com Notes: Yes, the Honda Civic receives a lot of complaints because so many were sold. And sure, car parts only last so long and things eventually break. But it's never good to see this many transmission complaints, especially when the average mileage at failure is just north of 100,000 miles.

Especially when you consider that it's predecessor also has a nasty history with transmission complaints.

Put $2000 into fixing up the suspension only for this to happen a few months later. Its like God hates my wallet or something. Apparently broken head gaskets are a recurring problem for D17 engines so I'm just gonna cut my losses and spring for a new vehicle.

Misfires constantly gave engine codes. New spark plugs and coils did not solve the problem. New, and very expensive fuel injectors did not solve the problem. Replacing the head gasket would have solved all the misfiring problems if it had been correctly diagnosed first.
