When the steering column cover was removed, it was discovered that the wire for the headlight switch was burned. The manufacturer stated that the VIN was not included in NHTSA campaign id number 04V086000 (exterior lighting:headlights). The failure mileage was 65,000 and current mileage was 73,000.
