When I come to a complete stop and the start/stop motor goes into idle mode (shuts the engine down), I have a problem that occurs after it. It is unpredictable but when I come out of the idle and the engine is supposed to kick back on, my minivan stalls out. This has happened in heavy traffic areas and it takes 30 seconds to a minute to get the van to turn back on as the electrical system malfunctions. Big safety issue that can be scary in the moment. There are error messages that come up on the dash including "Collision Mitigation System Problem", "Brake System", and the center console system will restart. This problem doesn't happen when I disable the start/stop motor as it doesn't go into idle-stop mode. I have read through online forums recently and it appears this issue has happened in other Honda models dating back to 2016 models. This is clearly an issue across years/models and needs to be addressed. The local Honda dealership said they haven't heard of this problem and couldn't replicate. Therefore, there was no repair provided.

The passenger side, rear sliding door does not engage in the locking mechanism. It intermittently lacks securely latching. In looking into the door, it appears that the actuator is not engaging properly. Upon researching this for a few minutes, I do see that there were recalls on 2018-2019 Honda Odysseys (as well as other models of Hondas). My car is a 2019 Odyssey. I have called Honda about this issue and they do not acknowledge this recall in regards to my VIN. Service Bulletin 18-128 in Nov. 2018 I do not understand the method used to determine which cars are impacted by the recall, or rather how mine is not (yet) included when I clearly have a faulty door latch which can potentially harm my children and other passengers. The door has automatically reversed from opening to closing halfway through and has come very close to hurting my daughter. Please get me a recall notice/repair notice (online would be fine!) asap so that I can get this taken care of immediately. https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/rcl/2018/RCRIT-18V795-2903.pdf Sincerely, [XXX] INFORMATION Redacted PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).

Six months or more ago, my van started acting as though it is stuck in a gear before it finally shifts to the next gear. At first is happened every once in a while, but it now happens several times every trip and always at speeds between 25-40mph. Additionally, when I press down on the gas pedal, there sometimes tends to be a delay in it responding, so I've been very careful about pulling out in traffic. But recently, it seems to be happening while the van is already in motion. And, just yesterday, when accelerating from a stop, the car lurched forward and the wheels screeched. Regarding electrical issues, just this past December, we were driving home from vacation, and as we were passing through downtown Nashville, the car suddenly lost all electrical power. As the car began to slow, my husband pumped the gas as we were on an interstate junction and had no other alternative. Thankfully, after a 10-15 seconds, everything turned back on and we continued to our way. I've owned the van since Oct 2020 and it only has 57K miles on it. We've had several Hondas over the past 25 years (this is our 3rd Odyssey), and have loved them all. But, I'm very concerned about safety as well as the money spent.

I was driving my 2019 Honda Odyssey on the highway and it stopped suddenly in the middle of the highway. The car went to idle mode and changed itself to park gear. We had to off the car and restart it which was dangerous in the middle of the highway. This same incident happened earlier too but in a residential street. We took it to the dealership but they said they couldn-€™t find anything wrong. Then I heard the news story about nhtsa investigation into this problem with Honda and wanted to report my experience. This is dangerous and they need to figure out what is going on.

Driving 60mph on the highway, everything electrical shut off and on several times. The dash screen, the touch screen, the AC, the lights. I immediately took an exit and got off, and when the rebooting stopped I was going about 30mph and the car shifted by itself into park. Then there was a horrible grinding sound of metal on metal...I hit the brakes to pull off the road the car got under 20mph and stopped instantaneously. I had the car towed to my local Honda dealership and they said they cannot replicate the issue, nor see any error codes. They will not take apart anything to check for damage to the parking rod because there were no error codes...And they want me to pick up the vehicle today.

Our car has failed to start 3 times in one week. Our battery has been throughly inspected and nothing appears to be wrong with it. We have jump-started our car in July, and twice this week. (Once yesterday and once today.) We are not sure why this is the case.

There are 2 issues, possibly related. First of all, warning for collision mitigation system problem appeared and then the digital display went blank.the steering wheel shook violently. In the second problem that occurred, a warning light flashed on and off (too quickly to determine what it said) and then the car went into neutral on it's own. The car was in motion in both occurrences.

My children and I are where on our way home on the the highway, when our odessy van suddenly turned off as I was driving(65 speed limit). It went from driving to going to park and shutting down, everything was flickering and it wouldn't turn on and wouldn't allow me to turn on my emergency lights. I get pushing the star button and it wouldn't turn on until a few minutes later, this is absolutely unacceptable and horribly as I had my children in the car.

Dvd player will not play movies. Dvd player gets extremely hot. Audio throughout entire vehicle experiences a constant snapping/crackle noise. This happens while vehicle is moving or stationary. Does not happen all the time. Probably due to a pinched wire in a harness near infotainment system. Reported to dealership. They refused to repair under warranty because vehicle had been driven over 35,000 miles. Spent $40,000 for a new van and within first year we need to spend our money to repair their mistake. Shameful.

When the vehicle is parked, the head unit malfunctions and stays on, especially after being used for apple car play. It has left us stranded and had to be towed once, two other times, jumped as a brand new vehicle. More importantly, the transmission has issues. Between 20-30 mph, the vehicle disengages with the transmission, loses power, then 'clunks' back into gear. It makes the driver and passengers unsteady, and causes unanticipated slow downs and speed ups. Adult passengers in my vehicle have yelled out in confusion over the loss of power and speed. When the vehicle is stopped, it sometimes hesitated to go into first gear, and then 'clunks' into first, experienced as a 'neutral drop' as if one is driving a manual transmission. Overall, the transmission is clunky, and leads to unexpected vehicle movements, unsteady feedback, and extreme discomfort and worry.

While in motion on the highway the speedometer and center infotainment system crashed, went black, and began to restart shortly after. While rebooting the car shifted into neutral and there was no warning of the gear changing. The car was able to get off the highway, and had to be towed per the dealers recommendation for safety.

The vehicle infotainment system crashed even after the safety recall. This made the speedometer go out for a short time, and completely disable the radio, rear camera, res, and most user controls. The system additionally stayed on after the car was powered off, and would only turn off by pulling the fuse!

Brakes: Significant vibration at 20K miles. Entire vehicle shakes violently when braking from highway speeds on a steep decline. Electrical: Infotainment unit shows no audio available at random times. Ticking or "sleet hitting the window" sound from dash speakers. This is very intermittent and can happen at any time. Seems to come and go.

The infotainment system started going bad after owning the vehicle within 2 weeks. When the vehicle is in motion the radio went out with a static sound and complete system blacked out with "network communication error" and restarted while car is in motion and this started repeating on the drive.I took it to the dealer and they said they fixed the problem by rerouting the electrical harness. It worked good for another two days it started getting the same error messages and the whole info screen went out for minutes at a time.I hear static sounds and get messages saying radio out and network problems.Honda mentioned it had fixed the error as part of the recalls released recently and had the recalls done and the issue become more frequent and worse, the system gets restarted every few mins. After 3 attempts to the dealer I do not have any success. A clear sign that Honda has no clue how to properly and permanently repair the system.
