CarComplaints.com Notes: So far the 2011 Elantra doesn't have the same volume of transmission problems that 2010 owners are fighting with. It also doesn't have the same pattern of steering and braking complaints that are piling up with the 2013 model year.

We're not saying the 2011 is perfect -- I mean, what were they thinking advertising their MPGs -- but there are worse choices.

I compare my car to a rusty old door, because that's exactly what it sounds like when I go over speed bumps and turn the wheel. I've had to replace links, make repairs to the suspension in the back, replace the arms and ball joints in the front, and the damn thing still makes noise. That's aside from the fact that from the very beginning, I find that this car fishtails too easily, even when you hit a minor bump in the road. I get that wear and tear will do this to most cars, but it happened way to early on my 8-year-old Elantra, and the problem is still not resolved.

This is by far the worst worst worst car of my life. every month something new is wrong for muffler to axles to steering wheels sensors, seats ripped in seam. I have try after 7 months of this bull to trade in car they want another $8,000.00 for a new one. So the car would of cost me about 30,000.00 for a hyundai don't think so i would have bought a corvette. So pass lemon law pass being thrown out of dealership. Unsure if anybody can advise on how to unload this garbage, can they call a limited addition Hyundai.

Suspension rattles while driving over bumps, pot holes, and the dealer keep saying they don't hear anything. they are death cause where i drive threw there are bumps, pot holes, then they stated that its the rack and pinion and i told them that is not the problem because i don't have any problem with the steering wheel and their was no leaks on the power steering pump. but they still did not wanna hear me out. so they so call change the rack and pinion and they are robbing the warranty.. and i have proof that the dealer is robbing the warranty. and now they are scared that I can expose them and get them in a lot of trouble. i don't go to the dealer any more because they don't help or treat their costumer good they lie to the costumer to get them to spend more $$$$.. They even kick me out of the show room when I was explaining my self to him and the manager and i told him if he wants me out to call the police that i was going to file a big compliant with every body the news, consumer affair, with Hyundai and attorney general now i need help.. i even put in a complaint with consumer affair and they don't help enough
