It wasn't a month after I bought the car and I would notice a whistle noise when I was driving on the highway. It would only happen when I was over about 55MPH. I took it to the dealer and explained the situation. They have heard several complaints about it and thought they knew what it was. After they drove it around and heard what I was hearing they realized it was the cover on the mirror/cover where the mirror connects to the car was loose. They took it off and put something inside of the cover and made sure there were no spots where wind could get in and make a noise. They tightened everything up and I was on my way. I have yet to hear the whistle again.

I can't stand the noise. Sometimes everyone wants to roll the window down and enjoy the breeze! But not my car! It whistles the whole while! I have to turn up the radio to tune it out. On top of that, if I have the window up and the radio off or down, I can still hear the noise. I called the service technician and will take it back to the dealership on Saturday to see if there is something that can be done. But the tech had already said that it sounds like a aerodynamic problem! Which I'm sure they can't fix! So I'm going to see if that considers it a LEMON!! This is not my first Nissan, I've had a 2 Chevys and a Honda and have never had any problems before. This Altima in the two weeks I've had it has caused me problems from DAY 1. The dealership lost the keys so they had to keep the car to give me a new set! So I didn't even get to drive off the lot with MY SO CALLED NEW CAR!!! Finally picked up the car the next evening and went out of town. Guess what happened when I rolled down the window? WHISTLE WHILE I DRIVE!!! Then I came to a light and pressed the break....WOBBLE WOBBLE WOBBLE!! Come to find out that the ROTORS were WILTED, so that following week the car was again away from me and at the dealership, this was last week. Now this week the car is off to the dealership AGAIN!!! UGHHHHHH!!!! I really hope something can be done so I can finally have my car for a full week without any problems! OH YEAH...my AC pushes out heat while the heater is off too!
