NHTSA Investigating 440,000 Nissan Altimas Over Braking Issues - The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has opened a preliminary investigation into the 2007-08 Nissan Altima for a brake fluid leak. The investigation was opened after the safety agency received 20 complaints from concerned owners who said their brake warning lights were on, with two people saying their brakes were becoming less effective.
