problem #3

Mar 052019

Maxima 3.6L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 60,000 miles

A D V E R T I S E M E N T S

The display screen will randomly go blank while driving, then after a few minutes it will reboot and come back on. This has happened twice so far. Currently at the dealer and their solution was to sell me a navigation map update. This sounds ridiculous, I wasn't using the navigation system either time it failed and I do use the navigation system as a general rule. A map update will not fix any problem except the bottom line of the dealers service center.

Any advice on what it might REALLY be?

problem #2

Maxima Platinum 3.0L

  • CVT transmission
  • 2,262 miles

main display screen and associated functions don't start

The system works fine and then for some unknown reason it fails to turn on when the car is started. I have to restart the car several time for it to turn on and sometimes after three attempts I just drive with it off for a few miles then shut down and restart and it usually comes on. The car is going into the dealership today to hopefully get repaired, but of course it won't happen while its there and they'll tell me there's nothing wrong.

Maxima Platinum 3.0L

  • CVT transmission
  • 2,100 miles

the main information screen fails to come on intermittently

After the car starts the large information screen (radio, nav, apps, etc) fails to turn on. The car has to be turned off and restarted to get it to come on. Sometimes it has to be restarted three or four times.
