The a/c only works on number 3 and 4. If you have it on 1 or 2 on the dial it doesn't blow any air out of the dashboard. Estimates to fix were at least $400 for the part. What's wrong with Nissan building a vehicle with sooooo many problems.

Nissan has a maintenence alert for the actuators in the airbox which open and close doors to allow the proper mix of air to enter the cabin. They know about it. Its a huge problem but they won't recall the vehicles having this problem. As a result with the actuators malfunctioning on my side, I get cold outside air on cold days while the passenger side gets the proper temp, either A/C or heat. On hot days I get hot outside air while the passenger side gets A/C if desired. At 60,000 miles the fan went out. All in all the heating/a/c system in this vehicle is substandard and doesn't hold up very well. In order to get at replacing the air box, the entire dasboard needs to come out costing well over $1200. 2005 was definitely a bad year. Thankfully I never had the transmission/coolent problem.
