The contact owns a 2013 Nissan Pathfinder. While driving approximately 55 mph, the hood of the vehicle opened and smashed into the windshield. The contact stated that the windshield shattered upon impact, and the roof and front fenders were significantly damaged. The vehicle was driven to the contact's residence. Sheehy Nissan of white marsh (8115 belair road, nottingham, Maryland 21236, (443) 327-3203) was made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and provided case number: 33341850. In addition, the manufacturer stated that the vehicle was repaired per NHTSA campaign number: 15V033000 (structure) in April of 2015. The failure mileage was approximately 62,430.
