One day the rear liftgate latch stopped working -- it wouldn't latch closed. Annoying because alarms go off while driving each time you hit a bump.
We have the 3rd row seats & it's a safety hazard, if kids were sitting in back they could fall out. Disappointed that it first started happening when the vehicle was only 5 years old. Been great otherwise.
A replacement liftgate latch actuator from Toyota is pretty expensive, well over $200. Found an aftermarket latch on Amazon for $70. Was pretty easy to swap out the broken latch once I figured out how to get to it. So far so good.
