CarComplaints.com Notes: An increasing number of Toyotas are experiencing excessive oil consumption and the 2007 Camry seems to be leading the charge.

Owners are reporting that their engines are deprived of oil halfway through their maintenance schedules and in some cases the damage is so bad that entirely new engines need to be installed, paid out of pocket. The issue may be a result of defective piston rings.

Toyota has issued a TSB for this problem, but maintains their stance that vehicles equipped with a 2AZ-FE engine are burning through a “normal” amount of oil.

sunroof drainage pipes detached from the sunroof drainage

The sunroof drainage hoses got detached from the sunroof drain thus leaking water into the floor of car on both driver and passenger side - front and rear. This poses a threat for mold and rust. During day time, because of the puddle inside the car, it forms mist inside on the inside of the front and rear windshield.

The dealer mentioned that there are no clamps to hold the drainage hoses and hence they tend to detach from the drainage hole from the sunroof.

I bought this 07 Toyota Camry SE brand new and now I only have 35000 miles. It is really low miles and I did not notice until my daughter told me that the back seat is wet, 'coz I never seat at the back seat.
