CarComplaints.com Notes: An increasing number of Toyotas are experiencing excessive oil consumption and the 2007 Camry seems to be leading the charge.

Owners are reporting that their engines are deprived of oil halfway through their maintenance schedules and in some cases the damage is so bad that entirely new engines need to be installed, paid out of pocket. The issue may be a result of defective piston rings.

Toyota has issued a TSB for this problem, but maintains their stance that vehicles equipped with a 2AZ-FE engine are burning through a “normal” amount of oil.

If this had been the only problem I have had since I bought this car used a couple months ago, I would consider myself lucky. This car has had multiple major problems but only one other owner and low mileage

Hi i am a firm believer of Toyota most of my car's is Toyota until i bought my 2007 Camry V6 SE last year it was good until 2 days ago i was driving and i noticed that my tranny fluids start leaking BAD and smoke was coming out.So i pulled out and called Toyota dealer and day after i got call and said that i have a bad leak DUH like i didn't know but neways they say that they have to replaced some O-Ring and gasket some other things too. When i ask if this still cover my warranty they say IT NOT COVER so i have to pay?I don't know if i have to wait if this happen again or should i get a new one like Acura TL or something bcoz i been hearing a lot of problem with this particular problem and suggestions
