CarComplaints.com Notes: Owners are reporting that their engines are running out of oil awfully quick. As in, 1 quart every 1,200 miles. Toyota maintains that’s with the “normal†operating range of the 2AZ-FE while owners maintain that’s complete BS.
The issue may be the result of defective piston rings.

The lights on the dashboard lit up like a Christmas tree. The VSC light is on, plus traction control light and check engine light. I had car checked at two Toyota dealers and the cost to fix car is $ 2,500.00. I spoke with Toyota customer service and they will not help in any way after owning a Toyota 25 years. I bought a Toyota, because they last a long time and require fewer repairs. My 1996 Camry has 295,000 miles on it and it is the best car I have ever owned. The new Toyotas are JUNK and Toyota does not care about doing what is right in customer service. I wish I could tell the world DO NOT BUY A TOYOTA. Maybe this will help.
