CarComplaints.com Notes: Owners are reporting that their engines are running out of oil awfully quick. As in, 1 quart every 1,200 miles. Toyota maintains that’s with the “normal” operating range of the 2AZ-FE while owners maintain that’s complete BS.

The issue may be the result of defective piston rings.

My front struts started leaking so bad to the point where it was unsafe to drive them and i was forced to replace them.

Took my 2008 Camry for what I thought would be a normal inexpensive oil change and was told I had a very expensive repair, the front struts were leaking and had to be replaced. At only 39,000 miles I couldn't believe it! I went on line and saw there were too many complaints on this same topic. Toyota has certainly gone down hill in reliability and trust. With so many complaints about these struts (not to mention other complaints) Toyota should be offering a recall for bad merchandise.
