Anti-lock brake system locked up occasionally. When pressing on the pedal it did not go down all the way, all power was lost. Mechanic is aware of the problem, cannot determine if the repair work can be done.
Driving down the hwy at approx 55mph on dry road, slowed down to go around a curve, front brakes locked but not the back brakes. Felt like a power surge. Brake pedal was still depressed to the floor. Vehicle fishtailed and rolled over into a ditch.
While driving on the highway on dry road noticed traffic was slowing down. Went to apply brakes, and brakes went completely to the floor, felt softand couldn't control vehicle, ABS failed.
While driving engine check light will light up. When the brakes are applied it feels like the power assist brakes are lost, consumer says that the brake could be stood on and there would be no response. Deale rhas been contacted.
Whenever the ABS brakes are applied, at various speeds and various surfaces, they would lock up & vehicle would slide. Can happen when going up hill & use ABS brakes. Will be taking vehicle to dealer to check out problem.
While driving at 35 mph another vehicle ran a red light, and consumer's vehicle rear ended the other vehicle on the right hand side due to the ABS system locking up, an vehicle skidding.
While driving 35mph came upon stopped vehicles on highway and had to stop suddenly. Brake pedal went to the floor. Did not feel ABS working. Vehicle failed to stop & rearended vehicle in front. Air bags did not deploy. Brakes were just serviced prior to accident.
While braking during rainly weather the anti-lock brakes locked up resulting in loss of control causing the vehicle to skid into the rear of another vehicle. Nlm
When traveling under any normal braking and upon depressing the brake pedal on dry or wet surface, pedal traveled to the floorboard, resulting in extended stopping distance, brake faded away. Consumer has contacted the dealer, dealer has yet to replace parts.
In panic stops, it feels like the brakes are not working. The pedal gets spongy and feels like sliding on ice. Looked up NHTSA list, mfg campaign 19I005000 is listed for this problem. Chevrolet via 1-800-222-1020 number says no such campaign exists.
Ongoing problem with pressing hard on brake pedal to get vehicle to stop properly. Vehicle experienced extended stopping distance. Vehicle been in/out of dealer shop, and some repairs were made. But did not correct the problem. Can NHTSA help or provide additional information.
