This is my first Chevrolet Blazer, I have a Ford Ranger that has 210,000 miles with no problems, however, this Blazer has spider gears that are out at less than 45,000 miles on it. So I'm hoping that there is a assembly flaw or manufacturing discrepency involved to correct this matter. I know that there are some problems with the Chevy and GMC full size trucks, I have a couple of friends that have gone through a few rear ends already. It was found that there was a discrepency in the machining of the axle. I'm hoping that this is a related incident and that other people are having this same problem? I don't hardly ever use 4WD and I'm not hard on my vehicles, so I just don't understand why these spider gears would be going out on a 2 year old vehicle.
