CarComplaints.com Notes: Top complaints for the 2006 Chevy Impala include how the transmission slips, clunks and fails. Or how the power steering knocks and squeals. In other words, this car is a noisy bucket of eventual failure points.
The 2006 Chevy IMPALA ss was purchased new off the show room floor one of the first ss in my city. I started have issues within the first year with a cracking noise from the chassis or frame which ever. The dealer never found the issue after many visits average of 15 to 30 times. The matter got annoying so I sued and got 15 thousand back cash. Never fails the Glass of the 2006 started to scratch from going up and down. The dealer then billed the insurance and changed the glass. I still own the car that has the same issues with the scratches appearing again. They never tried to help once the car was paid off .
I just bought my car and the guides began to scratch all of my windows. I had to put car in shop twice to get windows replaced... and dealer cracked the clear coat on my exterior trim and put my trim back wrong. I was so mad and couldn't afford to have my car in the shop because I needed it so I still have the damaged clear coat on my exterior trim.
