CarComplaints.com Notes: There was plenty of hope that Ford would fix their “door ajar†warning light issue for the 2014 model year. This widespread problem has caused the previous 3 model years to stay on top of defect trend lists.
So far, the 2014 Edge doesn't share the poor reputation of prior model years.

One of my favorite features of my Edge is the Adaptive cruise control. I use it pretty much every time I drive on the freeway. Once it became cold, the Adaptive portion suddenly stopped functioning. It does not sense the cars in front of me. I have tried quite a few things and found that if I choose the longest spacing between cars, my vehicle will zoom up to the car in front of me, getting very close. Then my vehicle suddenly slows down (feels like hitting the brakes hard) and goes back to designated between vehicle spacing. It feels like as soon as I am back my vehicle zooms back up to tailgate the car in front of me.
