CarComplaints.com Notes: There was plenty of hope that Ford would fix their “door ajar” warning light issue for the 2014 model year. This widespread problem has caused the previous 3 model years to stay on top of defect trend lists.

So far, the 2014 Edge doesn't share the poor reputation of prior model years.

Noticed steady stream of fuel leaking, from fuel line behind rear wheel weal, while vehicle was stationary during refueling process. Fuel continued to leak, from the fuel line at alarming rate, while the vehicle was in motion to be dropped off to be serviced at the dealership. From gas station to dealership is less than 5 miles, however fuel gauge went from 3/4 tank to half way above 1/2 tank. In addition, the miles to empty gauge dropped almost 50 miles over this time frame (about a mile every 10th of a mile driven).

While driving, the speed was around 50mps the vehicle made a notice on the dash that said "low oil pressure". it then at the same moment slowed down from 50 to 0 within about 50 feet and completely lost power steering almost causing a fatal crash with a child in the car. The vehicle is back at the dealership where it was purchased at and has been evaluated for malfunctions. Although the dealership service has not said anything about what happen or what the problem was and I feel extremely uncomfortable even going somewhere with my family knowing this has happen once. I need to have this problem rectified before a fatal crash takes me and my family out. What can we do about getting a recall on this?
