1996 ford explorer started drinking gas.20mpg on the high way is not correct.I was getting 26 mpg doing 60mph.The loss was not gradual either, correct miles per gallon and then incorrect MPG.Took the truck to the dealer, all sensor are good and they reflashed(programmed) the computer.Ran good for two months.The A/C starts making horrible knocking noise unless it is on,and then the A/C stops making the knock and I lose Fuel mileage. Yes it was the A/C compressor knocking.I want to know what is causing the computer to run in default.All the basic maintenance has been done filters ,cleaners,plugs,wires.The dealer is not telling me something and it is criminal to make me pay for a reflash that does not hold.
