While pressing acclerator pedal vehicle lost power, then finally lunged forward and would slowly speed up which may cause a rear end crash. Dealer cannot determine the cause.
After cruise control shuts off from brake pedal or pushing the off button on steering column the accelerator pedal becomes stiff and difficult to depress it smoothly. This happens until the motor is turned off. I reported this problem, which seems very obvious to me, to freehold Ford. Their technician can't identify the problem.
While driving approximately 45mph & giving vehicle gas, it would start to pull into the right lane only. Have taken to dealer for repairs at least 4 times for problem. It has been repaired once. Problem reappeared after tires were rotated.
EA99001, while driving acclerator got stuck, causing vehicle to suddenly acclerate. Occupant had to turn off the vehicle in order to stop. It could have caused a crash. Dealer had to replace throttle body unit.

When depressing gas pedal vehicle will speed up. Gas pedal hangs up and will accelerate by itself. Gas linkage and cables have been oiled without effect.
Throttle became stuck while turning a corner, causing a loss of vehicle control. Vehicle ran off road, hitting items and a tree which finally stopped the vehicle.
While driving at low speeds accelerator would become hard. Transmission would jump from neutral into drive. Then a loud noise, like a bang, would be heard. Transmission would reengage itself into drive. The problem is intermittent. Took to dealer to have transmission overhauled.
Throttle. Gas pedal started to stick--more pressure on the pedal doesn't cause the car to accelerate smoothly, waits a couple of seconds and then lurches forward.
When I tried to use the ac in March it blew out only hot air. A new compressor had to be put in it. It still leaks under the dash when it rains hard or going through car wash. Rear wiper motor burnt out. Wiper would not work, had to be replaced. Rear seal, pinon seals, and rear drive shaft were replaced twice. The rear passenger door panel and window rattled really bad. Had repaired. Now front driver door panel and window rattles. Had a "vibrating" noise repaired. When vehicle idled a piece of metal vibrated. Several times I have gone to turn on the headlights and they won't come on. I have to turn the button several times before they will come on. After my auto has set overnight and I start it, it idles very rough for a few minutes. The gas pedal has been sticking for quite a few months. Only when you initially push on the gas to go. The accelerator pedal sticks. The cable for accelerator pedal had been replaced twice. Owner feels the recall of cruise control has caused the problem with accelerator pedal. After using cruise control and coming to a full stop, accelerator pedal sticks. Driver must tap it once or twice to correct.
Accelerator sticks. Went out of cruise control, vehicle just kept going and did not slow down. Throttle replaced. Dealer cannot remedy problem. Problem still exists. Provide further information.
Leased. Throttle stuck when first started vehicle up, resulting in an accident, involving side impact at approximately 5 mph. Dealer is aware of the problem. Vehicle towed. Problem still exists. Provide further information.
3 problems; #1. gas pedal sticks. Dealer says no problem, but keeps putting lube on linkage. #2 left front bearing replaced twice due to sqealing at low speed, other times they lubed rubber boot. #3 rear hatch when cold, lifts fail, hit head and upper back.
