I bought the vehicle off of a family friend who had already replaced all of the interior and exterior door handles once and they seemed to work just fine....until the back left passenger door stopped opening from the inside. This was not a big deal because it was the back seat, and even when someone unknowingly pulled the handle and it easily snapped in two it was manageable. Then the driver's side window stopped working and a few weeks later the door stopped opening from the outside. A little more inconvenient, but I could lean through the back door and open it from the inside. When I parked the vehicle one evening and went to exit and the door wouldn't open from the inside, I was a little irked. Considering I had a broken foot and had to climb across and out of the passenger side, this was a major problem, as well as embarrassing. After getting turned away by several mechanics and even getting into a scuffle with one who tried to fix it, gave me a $600 estimate, and then left my door in pieces and wouldn't close all the way, I had to go to a junkyard and just get a door similar in color to mine. Finally, after months of aggravation, a solution. Just when I though it was over, the passenger side door has now stopped opening from the inside, and when a friend didn't know and tried to open it, it easily snapped in two as well. The vehicle runs pretty well, other than horrible gas mileage, but with all the problems I have had with the doors, THIS IS MY FIRST AND LAST FORD!
