2008 ford explorer-purchased from blue bonnett motors in new braunfels, tx. the vehicle we purchased had less than 2 miles when we purchased it, drove 77 miles (home), next morning backed out of drive and heard a rubbing, squeaking loud noise, getting louder and louder for a minute or so, i stopped and the neighbor came over and sound like you have a problem, took it to the dealership and no noise could be duplicated. its been in the shop 12 to 13 times. this is not the only problem. the door hinge broke, gear shift had to be replaced, when you take off (not all the time) it sounds like it is in neutral.

the problem is still there and was told by ford they couldn't hear it so there was nothing they could do, ford corp said they could help me get in another vehicle and give me employee rate, all was asking at the time was for the vehicle to be replaced, i put $10,000.00 dollars down, and would more less lose the down payment is what i was told by a bluebonnet salesperson, i felt like there was nothing i could do, i feel like the vehicle i have is unsafe for me and my family, in fact when we go out of town we have to rent a vehicle, ford has sold me a lemon.

Explorer Eddie Bauer 4.0L V-6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 19,900 miles

I work at a building where the parking is downhill. I engage the parking brake to take the strain off of the transmission. I noticed that after disengaging the parking brake a squealing sound is coming from the left rear wheel. The noise is not a constant squeal. More like a repetitive "squeak, squeak, squeak" that gets faster as the tire rotation speed picks up. It is also worse when I turn to the left and gets better when I turn to the right. I am getting ready to take it to the dealership to have the parking brake adjusted. Hopefully this fixes the problem.
