This happened several times since 2010. When applying the brake the car would suddenly accelerate. Diagnosed the problem as the brake and gas pedal being to close together and at the same height when the brake was applied. The foot would apply the brake, overlap the gas pedal and then apply pressure to the gas pedal at the same time. The pedal height can be adjusted. The problem more likely occurred when the pedal heights were low. By adjusting the pedal heights higher, the brake pedal is higher than the gas pedal when it is pressed and even though the pedals are close together, the foot does not touch the gas pedal. However the pedals are still too close together, and the problem still occurs occasionally.
