I got the brand new 2018 Ford Explorer. My Explorer has been running great but recently start rattling and shaking whiling stopping for a traffic light or stop sign. However, I did not think this was a big deal because there was no wrenching light on and no issue while driving.

Last month I received the recall notice on transmission converter software update, and I thought this software update might fix the problem. So, I took my explorer to a local ford dealership for the update on 02 December 2020, and they told me that my converter requires a replacement with only 39,000 miles and it will take 10 day to complete the job!

I used to own a 1995 Mustang with two transmission replacements, and I only bought Toyota and Honda cars afterwards. However, I wanted to give a try for Ford car again, but once again Ford disappointed me with another transmission problem... I hope this is an isolated single case.
