Vehicle was in bumper to bumper traffic and rear ended another vehicle at 10mph, and both airbags deployed and shattered the windshield. Dealer has not seen vehicle.
Why did I suffer 1st and 2nd degree powder burns to the left hand from the Focus steering wheel airbag" I know of another party who suffered same to left hand and forearm from a Ford Focus steering wheel bag. Is there something wrong with the Ford Focus design or hand burns common in any steering wheel bag discharge" any insight would be greatly appreciated.
Airbags deployed while driving over a dirt road at 5-10mph, causing the windshield and plastic headliner to break. Vehicle has been repaired by dealer, there were two injuries.
Consumer was traveling 30mph on a side street and a truck veered into consumer's vehicle direction. Applied his brakes, and crashed into other vehicle. Upon impact, dual airbags didn't deploy. Dealership was aware of problem. Ford Motor Company stated that they were not able to verify any manufactuer's defects.
Vehicle involved in a frontal right side bumper accident. Hit rear bumper of another vehicle at approximately 10 mph or less. Upon impact, both air bags deployed, and driver sustained 3rd degree burns on right hand; dealer/ manufacturer were notified. Feel free to provide any further information.
While traveling at about 5-10 mph consumer ran into another vehicle in front of him head-on. Upon impact, air bags did deploy, and consumer sustained some head injury after hitting steering wheel.
While driving 25 to 30 mph and making a left hand turn turn was to wide, and right side hit curve, and left side of hit a tree. Upon impact, none of the airbags deployed.
Both driver and passenger airbags deployed while car was stopped - the car in front was bumped but I'm sure it was after the airbags went off. While there is a possibility that I bumped them first I barely bumped them - I never let my clutch out or gave the car gas - neither car showed any damage, other than ours which shows only airbag damage. The police were called - the officer noted that there was no damage other than the airbags. Our question is why did they go off? other then being scared and stunned for a few moments, my left arm suffered, bruises and burns from the airbag. The car has been at a dealership in NJ for almost 2 weeks - they state it cannot be touched until the legal dept of Ford contacts us.

The passenger, jacob, was belted, but the seat belt failed to restrain him. The air bag did not open until he hit the wind shield of the vehicle. When the air bags opened the steering wheel caught fire and burned..combustion was subsequent to the air bag opening and there was a great deal of smoke that the driver inhaled before the passenger in the rear seat, michael williams, got out of the car and put the fire out. She was trapped in the car by the seat belt, it would not release but it failed to restrain her and she hit the windshield..not nearly as bad as jacob, but it is broken. The steering wheel was burned. Michael saw some sort of sparks that he thought was from the seat belt.

While consumer was traveling down the road air bags unexpectedly deployed, no one was injured. Contacted dealer, and dealer was not willing to do anything.
While driving at approximately 5 mph both frontal air bags deployed unexpectedly. Windshield was shattered when this occurred, and passenger lost all hearing for approximately 30 to 45 seconds. Please provide any additional information/attachments/photographs.
Vehicle was involved in a rear end collision at approximately 30 mph. Upon impact, both air bags did not deploy. Manufacturer was notified. Feel free to provide any further details on this matter.
While traveling 10mph in bumper to bumper traffic consumer had a front end collision, causing airbags to deploy and break windshield on passenger's side. Manufacturer and dealer have been contatced to buy back vehicle, but no decision has been made at this time. Consumer sustained first and second degree burns to right arm because of air bags.
While traveling 10 mph in traffic consumer had a front end collision that caused driver's and passenger's airbags to deploy. Passenger side of windshield was broken from force of airbag. Consumer received 2nd degree burns from air bag deployment. Manufacturer has been contacted for purchasing vehicle back. No result has been decided at this time.
While in a light accident/ no damage to consumer's vehicle and other vehicle frontal air bags did not deploy. Dealer and manufacturer have been contacted. Consumer states air bags did deploy.
Consumer was driving 5-7 mph slid on we payement while ABS was activating, and slighty hit vehicle in front. Dual air bags deployed, causings 2nd to 3rd degree burns on top of hand. Passenger hit windshield and dashboard. Please provide fuerther information.
