Focus SE 2.0L

I can't really complain about this car that much. Yes, the heater/air conditioner control is a major pain and it would be nice to get that fixed. But on the whole it's a zippy little car, the steering is tight and I can squeeze 83 miles out of 3 gallons of gas if I vacuum the tank bottom.

There's a CD stuck in the player also that irks the snot outta me. A replacement radio from Ford costs $1161.

A little excessive I feel.

The car was built on my 45th birthday!! And the front seats were manufactured on my sisters 50th birthday, so it's kinda like family. It's noisy, there is not a panel inside that car that does not buzz or vibrate when the engine is first started, the driver's door handle is a b!tch to open often, but I love that car. Go figure!

The knob that moves the heat/ac from feet, feet/face, face, or defrost, became extremely hard to turn and broke with force. It had been stuck last on face so that is where it would come out (knob moves around freely/loose...broken). I brought it to my local mechanic (not Ford) and he put a new part in it that was supposed to fix it. It seemed like it distributed the heat where needed when I turned the knob but didn't quite "click" in the spots (feet/face/etc) and not coming out in full force in that particular area. Knob quickly became hard to turn again and broke with force. I brought it back to him and they "fixed" again saying something was "stuck" in it and it broke when I forced it. Realized it still wasn't working so brought it back asking him to let me know if they can't completely fix as I would rather bring it to Ford (knowing I will pay a fortune) to fix correctly if necessary. He told me the heater system will need to be rebuilt by Ford. Not sure what that means (doesn't sound good) but will take to Ford and give an update here.

The only time this poses a danger is when I can't use the defrost or defogger when really needed. Otherwise, it is just uncomfortable not being able to designate where the heat or AC goes.

Again, I will need to bring to the Ford dealer and will post the "fix" and cost.
