CarComplaints.com Notes: Even though the first model year of a major redesign should typically be avoided, Ford did a good job & the 2008 Ford Focus doesn't appear to have any major defects.

That said, the following model years of this 2nd generation Focus (2009-2011) do appear to be slightly better.

So while i wait in holding here is another problem that this magnificent piece of junk has going wrong with it. there has been a problem with the idle. just sitting at a light and it would go over 1 1/2 and rev up and then try to jump forward and choke like it wanted to stall and would raise back up an down contantly. i took it in and they wanted to keep it for 15 days that is when i should of filed the Lemon law and told me it would cost alot of money to replace the engine ? Are you serious I said do what you need to do an adjust it and who knows what they did because it did stop for a while and now it's back ?? Now it Bucks and sometimes when i went to start it the starter will grind and not start and it feels like a buckin bronco right now and needs to be recalled or repo'd cuz I swear this car is Possessed. there is not one thing good about it that I have said yet other than the gas :( I have had tune ups but it seems like all the other things its a constant money pit !!!!
