CarComplaints.com Notes: Even though the first model year of a major redesign should typically be avoided, Ford did a good job & the 2008 Ford Focus doesn't appear to have any major defects.
That said, the following model years of this 2nd generation Focus (2009-2011) do appear to be slightly better.

I took my Focus in for an oil change and an all wheel alignment because I was told that my car was tearing tires up so fast because I needed an alignment. So my wife drove it for the rest of that day and most of the next day. I drove it that night and realized that the car was vibrating when I accelerated. I could feel it in the gas pedal the most. I took it back to the shop and they told me an alignment has nothing to do with this and after they inspected it I was told that it MIGHT be the motor mounts but they wasn't for sure. I still don't know what the exact problem is.
