CarComplaints.com Notes: Even though the first model year of a major redesign should typically be avoided, Ford did a good job & the 2008 Ford Focus doesn't appear to have any major defects.

That said, the following model years of this 2nd generation Focus (2009-2011) do appear to be slightly better.

UNLIKE OTHER CARS FOCUS USE A DIFFERENT AND DUMB TECHNOLOGY WHEN IT COMES TO TPMS SENSOR. IF U DRIVE THE CAR ON FLAT TIRE FOR LONG.. U NEED TO CHANGE THE TIRE AS WELL AS THE TIRE PRESSURE MONITOR SENSOR TOO. THEY HAVE A BAND WRAPPING AROUND THE STEEL OR ALUMINIUM WHEEL AND THE SENSOR IS ATTATCHED TO THE BAND OR BELT. IF U DRIVE THE CAR WITH A FLAT TIRE THE SENSOR WILL BREAK AND THE BAND WILL LOOSE. AGAIN ITS A GOOD WAY TO SELL U MORE SPARE PARTS.. DONT GO FOR UNIVERSAL ONES. THE METAL BAND QUALITY IS BAD. USE ORIGINAL BAND AND SENSOR. AFTER INSTALLING SENSOR THEIR IS A $30 FEE FOR REPROGRAM THE SENSORS..
