CarComplaints.com Notes: Even though the first model year of a major redesign should typically be avoided, Ford did a good job & the 2008 Ford Focus doesn't appear to have any major defects.

That said, the following model years of this 2nd generation Focus (2009-2011) do appear to be slightly better.

My son was in high school and was driving home He was in a residential area and the rear wheel hub broke and the wheel and tire rolled down the street. He could have been injured especially if he had been on a busy street. I hate this car. I contacted Ford. They refused to do anything about this problem. I won't buy another Ford. They don't stand behind their product.
