The contact called on behalf of a friend who owns a 2016 Ford Focus. The contact stated that after the driver refueled the vehicle, the vehicle inadvertently stalled. The contact stated while driving 3 MPH, the transmission was slipping. The contact stated that the check engine and transmission warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 190,000.
The contact owns a 2016 Ford Focus. The contact stated that after starting the vehicle, the fuel gauge incorrectly indicated that the fuel tank was empty. After refueling, the vehicle stalled and failed to restart. The contact stated that a message on the instrument panel stated that the fuel pump was defective. The vehicle was towed to gillie hyde Ford located at 610 happy valley rd, glasgow, ky 42141, where the vehicle was diagnosed and the contact informed that the fuel pump was defective and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not yet notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 65,000.
Tamara recall. My fuel pump is gone (no longer working) and my Ford Focus has just reached 61000/miles. The car stalls when driving and cuts out in traffic, a seriously dangerous issue. This is an issue that has to be related to other Ford Focus recalls regarding the fuel system and fuel pump.
